1st Hole, Par 4 - 430 Yds, Hdcp 7

A gentle dog-leg right, which entices the big hitters "to cut the corner" can pay handsome dividends by leaving a short iron to the green.  An errant Tee shot to the right, will put you in the trees with the distinct possibility of being out of bounds.  "Regular hitters" can aim a little to the left so they can hit a hybrid or mid to long iron to the pear shaped green.   The green, narrow at the throat, is surrounded by bunkers leaving very little room for error.

If the pin is cut towards the back and on the right side of the green, any Tee shot on the right side of the fairway will bring the right bunker into play.

Adding wind to this hole, can leave many golfers scratching their heads, pondering what to do on the second shot.  This hole, depending on mother nature's behavior, will set the mood for the round.
