Sean Hartman lived up to his #1 seeding for the Championship flight by successfully defending his title as Club Champion of the Nassau Players Club, winning the final for the second straight year on the 16th green. Cutoff point for entry into the championship flight came at USGA Handicap Index of 4.2.

Flight A Results

Ted Lukew took the 'A' flight honors, defeating the #1 seed, Steve Rusinak, in the second round, and never looking back. The final was close fought, going to extra holes, where Ted triumphed over the unlucky loser, Ray Eklund.

Bill Ruth eventually came through as the winner of the 'B' flight, in a matchup that went very much with the seedings, the semi-finals being contested by the top four seeds. Another close fought final was played, with Bill finishing off his opponent, Jeff Slater, on the last green.
